A Masterpiece with Racing Roots

This is the first masterpiece I created in my own style. The design originates from my passion for motorcycle racing, combined with my experience in furniture making with my father, Geert Demets, and my work as a metalworker at Dirk Cousaert. 🏍️🪑

The Art of Steel and Perspective

I used a steel tube frame, inspired by classic motorcycles, and filled these frames with 0.8mm thick steel plates, similar to those used in cars. What makes this DJ booth truly unique is that I placed the frames in front of the plates, creating a deep 3D perspective and giving it its distinctive look. 🌈💪

Creativity on a Budget: The Prototype

This DJ booth had to be ready in time for the party and was built as a prototype on a limited budget, using leftover materials. But don’t worry, the furniture and doors I will create in the future will be even more intriguing. I welded this DJ booth using a TIG welding machine and cut the frames on the spot with my grinder. I cut out the plates using paper templates and transferred them onto the steel plates. ✂️🔩

Crafting with Precision: Tools and Techniques

For my future furniture, I plan to design them in 3D first and have all the plates laser-cut. With the addition of a bandsaw, I will be able to cut the tubes even more precisely and then bronze braze them for a stunning look. 🛠️🔥
